HWY 34 – Coleman, SD

Bowes Construction, Inc. is proud to announce the completion of the South Dakota Highway 34 improvement project through Colman, South Dakota. This major upgrade enhances safety, roadway performance, and long-term infrastructure reliability along this important east–west corridor. The project included the removal of the old pavement and the construction of a three-lane roadway section through Colman designed to improve traffic flow. Additional work included new storm sewer installation, grading, structural base work, concrete paving, and the construction of a shared-use path to support pedestrian and bicycle mobility.

Bowes Construction delivered high-quality paving, efficient storm sewer upgrades, and precise finish work to meet project standards and ensure long-term durability. The shared-use path and improved drainage infrastructure reflect a community-centered approach that strengthens connectivity and enhances overall safety.

This completed segment of SD 34 provides smoother travel, increased safety through its new three-lane configuration, and improved access for all users.
