Bowes Construction completed paving operations for the parking lot at East Side Commons during the 2026 construction season in Brookings, South Dakota. The project included milling the existing asphalt and placing a new 2-inch asphalt overlay, giving the parking area a renewed surface built for everyday traffic.
By milling the existing surface before placing the new asphalt, the project addressed surface wear and deterioration while maintaining the existing pavement structure. The finished parking lot provides a smoother driving surface, meets ADA compliance, improved appearance, and long-term durability for residents, visitors, and daily traffic at East Side Commons.
