Bowes Construction completed paving operations for the parking lot at Rude’s Funeral Home during the 2026 construction season in Brookings, South Dakota. The project included the complete removal and replacement of the existing asphalt parking lot to provide a new, durable surface. Subgrade corrections were performed rehabilitating soft or deteriorated spots in the existing subgrade.
The existing asphalt was removed before the parking lot was rebuilt and new asphalt was placed and finished. This complete replacement addressed the existing pavement conditions and provided a new surface designed to withstand daily vehicle traffic while improving the overall appearance and functionality of the parking area.
The completed project provides Rude’s Funeral Home with a smooth, durable parking area built for long-term performance. This project showcases Bowes Construction’s experience in commercial paving and complete pavement replacement, from removing the existing surface to placing and finishing the new asphalt.
