We believe sound safety and occupational health management practices are in the best interests of our employees, our business, and the communities in which we operate.

The objective of BCI safety program is to eliminate workplace injuries/accidents, to comply with all local, state, federal, MSHA, and OSHA regulations.

Steps to a safe and productive work environment

    Driver Testing

    All DOT drivers must undergo random pre-employment and quarterly drug and alcohol testing.

    Driving Record Review

    Review of all current and potential employee’s driving records.

    Training

    Company training to review health and safety topics.

    Preventative Maintenance

    Preventative maintenance program for all trucks and equipment.

    Site Inspections

    Regular jobsite safety inspections.

Sustainability

Bowes Construction has a company-wide policy to keep environmental responsibility a top priority at the workplace.

Since 2010 we have recycled 369,000 tons of asphalt and 246,000 tons of concrete, turning them into reusable products. Read “The Road Ahead: Asphalt for Generations” to learn more about the many benefits of Recycled Asphalt Pavement (RAP).
